Excellent article! I had been wondering if/where the 1A lines are different in regard to POTUS and you answered all my questions. Nice to see that the "imminent" and "actual threat" requirements remain the same, and I appreciated the history on previous presidents. Thanks, Aaron and FIRE!
I appreciate getting an email whenever your articles drop. However, when I click on a button that says “read in app,” my iPad prompts me to download the Substack app. I already have the Substack app downloaded and use it frequently. I’m not sure whether it’s Apple or a substack that is goofing this up, but it’s kind of annoying.
From what I understand, this is a problem with Gmail/Outlook apps breaking Substack deep links. If you try opening the same link in Apple Mail and it works, it's a safe bet you've found the culprit. Apologies that I can't be more helpful.

You mention a lawsuit but there's no link or further information, despite the headline tease. Is this a FIRE lawsuit, or in the works?
There's a link in the first paragraph (attached to the word "suing") to a news story about the lawsuit: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/northeast-ohio/ashland-county-democrats-sue-county-fair-board-sheriff-booth-removal-censorship/95-71635b9d-5fdb-41ab-aace-faf65fc3db34. The plaintiffs are represented by an Ohio law firm.
Thanks!

Don't expect any help from Substack. Their customer support is incompetent AI; no humans aboard.
