The current SCOTUS lineup (agree or disagree with their decisions) is very much weighted toward speech. What will the SCOTUS of the next generation look like? It's not an overstatement to say if we lose speech protections, we lose the country.

Given the different treatment of the two sides identifying people in public video, do the students have standing to file a lawsuit against the school? Or would one of the students need to publish names and get punished?

One never knows how courts will rule, but I am curious what rises to the level of standing in these situations.

And this is why Tennessee framed it's law that way.
