Did you guys say a word about Lauren Southern being banned (you might've not existed at that point, twas a while back)? About Ye being banned? People get banned from entering the UK all the time, the only thing special about this is now the left is feeling it. And they never spoke up for any of us either.

I am warming up to the idea that we should not automatically choose Britain over Russia in a military alliance. J.D. Vance tried to warn Europe .. Europe took that as moral lecturing from an inferior .. it was not ... it was letting them know that in this Internet era, Americans can see and hear what you are doing - and that DOES effect our calculus in deciding for whom we are willing to commit the lives of our brothers, sisters and children and grandchildren. Or even our tax dollars.

When it comes to NATO, it is not clear what we are defending.

I don’t really know what their opinions are but I am willing to fight against censorship.

Related - a friend of mine is helping UK write these policies. The behind the scenes might be worse than what you see from the outside

UK has a desperate antisemitism violence epidemic and lies and propaganda problem by Qatar funded and trained Islamic and anti-Western and anti-Israel zealots. They are essentially a part of a foreign invasion force.

Not remotely related to the scholarly or reasoned logic and speech by citizens that JS Mill contemplated in On Liberty.

I think it's interesting that they have been banned from entering the UK by the British Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, who is a Muslim herself.

DEI trumps even religious principle. Go Woke, go Broke. Mentally and spiritually.

The UK never really had free speech in the American sense but it is much better for it

The possibility of being arrested is part of the social contract under liberal democracy. Break the law and you get arrested. Arrests are just procedure to assess whether a crime has been committed and are not a punishment or judicial overreach in themselves. And unlike authoritarian societies, these arrests happen publicly, not secretly, and most people are never even punished.

Dude, they were arrested for shit they said online. Come on.

“their presence in the U.K. may not be conducive to the public good.”

British bureaucrats are dishing out "public good" by the shovel-full. It seems as if every day there's some new demonstration of the power that one particular lobby has on the West. It's like a cancer. Hopefully not terminal cancer.
